The Valencia track fits the style of the British driver, who in the last two editions have finished in second place, and the characteristics of McLaren, who have provided excellent performance in the urban track, as Heikki Kovalainen, Woking team former driver, also finished fourth in both races.

McLaren liked the first row of the grid last year with Hamilton Kovalainen first and second, a circumstance that allowed the English to dominate the race and only one error in the second pit stop, which pitted Hamilton and the team was not prepared to that stop, the British prevented launch their first victory at the Valencia Street Circuit.

In addition to McLaren, Ferrari has been the only team to repeat on the podium. Felipe Massa won in 2008 and Kimi Raikkonen was third in 2009. Augur well for the Scuderia to be presented in Valencia an optimized version of the F10.

No luck for Red Bull in Valencia

By contrast, the Valencian circuit is ‘damned’ for Red Bull, who has never scored points in this track. In the opening race, Coulthard and Webber were the two lasts in the calssification in the first practice session, while in the Qualifying, Scottish and Australian 9th was 14th. In the race, Webber Coulthard finished twelfth and seventeenth, the last of the drivers who crossed the finish line in a Grand Prix marked the crash of Alonso before completing the first round, and also withdrew Raikkonen and Sutil.

In last year's Grand Prix, Mark Webber finished ninth, out of the points, and Sebastian Vettel, who started in the second row of the grid, had to retire on lap four with mechanical problems.
While Red Bull as a team has scored points in the Valencia Street Circuit, his driver Sebastian Vettel had three points in the first edition of the Telefónica Grand Prix of Europe played at the Valencia street circuit at the wheel of a Toro Rosso. The German came under the checkered flag in sixth position, 52'6 seconds of Felipe Massa, winner of the race.
