London (01/06/2007).- The President de la Generalitat, Francisco Camps, has stated that "it is a dream come true" that a project as holding a Grand Prix of Formula 1 in a Street Circuit comes to the Comunitat Valenciana and he has empashized the benefits for Valencia to achieve international renown.
Francisco Camps, who has attended this morning the signing of the contract between Valmor Sport and Bernie Ecclestone to hold the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia, has stated that holding international events is very important for Valencia in the sportive field and as a way to achieve international renown because "these events guarantee the significance of the Comunitat Valenciana all around the world".
The President has rememberd also the "great effort" done during the last years to turn "the Comunitat into a land with more opportunities, more prosperous, with options of having presence in all the world, of investment, of creating jobs and with more well-being".
Finally, Camps has said that today is a very important day for the future of the Comunitat Valenciana. A day when "everything is a part of the same path and the same effort".
Bernie Ecclestone has stated his satisfaction for Valencia's choice because "it is very good and very special for the city".
"We have chosen Valencia because the first time I came here I was impressed, it's great that the Grand Prix can take place in Valencia", has emphasized.
