Valencia (29/04/2008).- Valmor Sports, the organizing company of the 2008 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe, is marketing the boat moorings located in the vicinity of the Valencia Street Circuit, in the Marina Juan Carlos I at the Port of Valencia.
Valmor Sports has defined two large areas to hold a total of 584 boats which will come to Valencia for live viewing of the first leg of the Formula 1 around the city. The two large areas are the following: the inner dock, known as the Valencia Street Circuit Dock, which has a capacity of 125 boats, and the Port’s south Marina, known as Valencia Street Circuit Marina, which will take up to 459 boats.
The dock will be closed at the bridge (the Formula 1 single) seaters will cross it. Therefore, the 125 boats must remain tied up throughout the competition weekend.
There will be three types of location for these boats. Area A includes the dock’s central “T”, and the areas next to the track between the second and fourth bends of the course and the Veles e Vents building. Area B includes the moorings next to the bridge and the boats that will be situated in the area closest to the long straight that separates the dock from the commercial port. Area C covers the moorings closest to Platforms 4 and 5.
Boat owners who choose to spend the weekend of the Grand Prix of Europe at the dock will benefit, not only from viewing the race live, but from being able to hire all types of exclusive services 24 hours a day, for the entire duration of the event.
Mooring prices at the Valencia Street Circuit Dock range from €60,000 in area A for boats 100 metres in length, to €7,250 in area C for boats that are 25 metres in length, for a minimum stay of one week.
The Valencia Street Circuit Marina is outside the course’s layout. Therefore, the 459 boats that are tied up here will be allowed to sail whenever they please. As these mooring points do not have a direct view of the track, each one is marketed along with tickets for tribune T-12 (the closest to the Marina) which will allow supporters the chance to see the races live. Furthermore, the installation of a giant screen will allow the supporters who remain on the boats to follow the races from there.
The boats in the Marina will also benefit from the same exclusive services at the Dock, as well as from the leisure area which will be set up beside the mooring points.
Mooring prices for the Valencia Street Circuit Marina range from €9,090 for boats 30 metres in length, to €2,840 for boats 10 metres in length, for a minimum stay of one week.
