Valencia (12/06/2008).- The Valencia Street Circuit is set to be one of the most glamorous Formula One circuits during the Grand Prix of Europe. Hundreds of boats are expected in the Port of Valencia.

With two months to go before this sport event, the majority of hotels in Valencia city are already booked out. Therefore, Valmor Sports is marketing the Athena cruise ship as an alternative for supporters who may have trouble finding accommodation during the Formula One Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia and who want to experience the event with a little glamour.

Through the Athena Urban Boat, Valmor Sports offers a whole new way to experience Formula One. This cruise ship is similar to an exclusive balcony in the sea from which spectators can follow the Grand Prix races.

The boat will be parallel to the circuit’s straight, between tribunes T-17 and T-18. The boat’s amenities and services would satisfy even the most demanding of spectators.

The Athena cruise ship has 275 cabins, (43 are suites) and a crew of 300. Customers will benefit from a wide range of facilities: swimming pool, spa, disco, gym, several international cuisine restaurants, and even an assembly hall and a business center.

The Urban Boat will be docked at the Port of Valencia from 21 to 24 August; customers will have full board and a ticket each for T-17. From this tribune, the Formula One supporters will view the Circuit’s longest straight and will watch as the single-seaters reach maximum speeds—speeds greater than 323 km/h. Some supporters will even be able to enjoy the races from the deck.

The Athena has 43 fabulously decorated suites, all of which are equipped with mod cons: jacuzzi, air conditioning, television, radio, telephone, mini-bar and a safe. Customers can enjoy a panoramic view from all suites. The presidential suite measures more than 40 m2 distributed over several different rooms.

Prices range between approximately €2,400 and €4,800; the presidential suite, however, costs €9,800. Prices are per person for four days and three nights with full board. A minimum of two people is required to make a booking.
